Why are the standard and premium color POD books the same price? Do you just make more money on the standard print? The standard paper is a hardcover. The premium paper is a softcover. They work out to the same price, and we make about the same on either version. I want to buy this, but the main thing i want is the Midgard campaign map. Is a campaign map included in this or is it just lore and player options? There are a few maps in the book.
They aren't full-sized poster maps or anything, and nothing with crazy zoomed-in detail, but there are full-page spreads of a few regions and such.
Kobold Press It's been well over a year and a half since a claim was made that their would be a Midgard Campaign Setting for 5e and yet this book is still not available.
When do you plan to release it? Ralph T: Thanks for asking! Those hardcover books were funded last year, and we've been posting steady progress on them ever since. I suspect some previews will be shared with backers in November and December. The ship date is Winter ; recently, we've been reviewing page proofs, nailing down maps, and preparing to go to press this fall.
So, we're getting close to the release date, but campaign setting work often does take a few years. We'll ship it when it is ready. You said that there will be a 5th Edition hardback. This version of the Midgard: Campaign Setting is Pathfinder compatible, and gives a good overview of a world designed around the world concept from Norse myth.
